Mac: "cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer"? The app isn't code-signed yet. Right-click the app → Open → click Open. You only need to do this once — after that it opens normally.
Windows SmartScreen warning? This is normal for independent software. Click "More info" then "Run anyway". The app is safe — it just isn't signed with an expensive Microsoft certificate. Questions? Email questions@thelayersapp.com.
On a school or work computer? Some managed Windows machines block running files downloaded from the internet. If the app won't open: copy the .exe to your Desktop first, then run it from there. This bypasses AppLocker restrictions on the Downloads folder.
